One Month Gone

It’s hard to believe it has been a month.

The day was okay. I mean, I wish Hubs wasn’t out of town, but it was alright. This evening I finally finished knitting the blanket I was working on for them.

When I was admitted to the hospital, all that was left to was the bind off and the finishing. Then I was going to pick out two more patterns and yarns. I expected it to be more emotionally difficult to finally tie off those last loose ends – but, it was sort of just, well, knitting.

Also to mark the occasion, I looked through the memory box from the hospital again. The nurses sent the hats home with us that the triplets were wrapped up in, and their hospital bands, and a couple of photographs and a footprint card for each.

Yes, that's my thumb. Their toes were so very tiny...

Happy birthday, little ones. I miss you all the time.

  1. This must have been so hard, Chloe. The footprints made me tear up a little. Thinking of you all the time.

    The blanket is just beautiful.
